About

I’m the COO of Step One Foods, a science-backed, heart-healthy food company founded by a cardiologist. We’re a lean company, which means I oversee: procurement, supply chain, production, co-manufacturer relationships, warehouse, fulfillment, food safety, quality, and HR.

My background is in Marketing with concentrations in International Business and Leadership Studies from Johnson & Wales University, with an Associate degree in Mass Communications and an SHRM credential rounding things out.

I’m a Minnesota native, Twin Cities based, and perpetually chasing a little more margin in my schedule. I’ve spent the last decade-plus in startups and mission-driven companies doing what I do best: learning something new, building something that didn’t exist, and handing it off better than I found it. If it’s already running smoothly, I’m probably already looking to level up or find the next problem worth solving. I’ve done it alongside some incredibly talented people, and a few who made me grateful for the talented ones.

Leaning into AI has been one of the better moves I’ve made recently, not just for the efficiency, but for what it’s done to my thinking. It’s got me dreaming bigger, moving faster, and imagining what’s possible in ways I didn’t see coming.

Outside of work, I’m in full logistics mode keeping up with my twin boys’ social lives and sports schedules, and involved with EAA Chapter 1229 — which feeds a love of aviation and access to a special community. I have a soft spot for effective nonprofits and showing up for the people I love. There’s always a next adventure being planned and a friend worth celebrating.

Life is good.
